Louise
Elliott, Team Leader, Chartered Marketer
Louise
was elected to the Greater London Regional Board in 2003 and has
been Team Leader for The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Heathrow
and West London Team since 2007. As she sees it, “It’s
a very challenging but rewarding role. I get to meet fellow marketers
from various industries and levels - which helps in sharing best
practice and gaining new insights.” Louise takes responsibility
for organising events that tap into important issues across the
industry. At the same time, she makes the most of opportunities
to meet interesting and successful marketing entrepreneurs. As
the Head of Marketing for a consulting and business services company,
Louise manages the day-to-day activities of the Sales & Marketing
Team for internal and external communications, as well as large
tender documents. She is a Chartered Marketer and is also involved
in the development and implementation of a key account management
process. |
James
Rose Having graduated from Loughborough
University, James cut his marketing teeth with a two- year spell
at Middlesbrough Football Club. While there, he took and passed
both the Post Graduate and emarketing Diplomas. “Both have
been extremely useful in my current role of developing Betfair's
Central and Eastern European operations,” comments James.
He became a Chartered Marketer in 2006 and has joined the Heathrow
& West London team to garner new ideas from peers working outside
of his industry, which he can employ as Betfair expands.

Magda
Sobolewska After she finished a Marketing
Management BA in Poland, Magda came to the UK to gain practical
marketing experience. Through her involvement with The Chartered
Institute of Marketing, Magda has been able to upgrade her marketing
knowledge and develop improved planning and communication skills.
“With the support of The Institute’s qualifications
and the Heathrow West London team,” says Magda, “I have
managed to apply my learning, so that I build useful experience
to help me kick-start my marketing career.”

Jon
Twomey Following 14 years retail sales
and marketing management experience, Jon became a Chartered Marketer
and has worked for the past 10 years in marketing training. Together
with his wife Caroline, Jon founded the Student Support Group, which
is sponsored by The Institute and provides revision support services
to marketing professionals up to post-graduate level. His time is
divided between the provision of commercial training and academic
courses. Jon is currently managing marketing excellence programmes
for global pharmaceutical players. His involvement with academic
qualifications spans The Institute’s Post Graduate Diploma
and emarketing Award, as well as university MBA teaching.

Mocky
Khan
Supporting big name brands, such as Burton's
Foods, Big Brother, Haagen-Daz, Orange, Thomson, Talk Talk and
Reebok is all in a days work for Mocky. Since gaining his Post
Graduate Diploma and Chartered Marketer status, he has become
a consultant specialising in 3rd party partnerships, TV and sports
sponsorship as well as sales promotions.

Maria
Cenalmor Maria
is in the final stages of her Chartered Institute of Marketing studies.
She only has a couple of exams to go to achieve the Postgraduate
Professional Diploma in Marketing. She has worked for IBM holding
different positions for over seven years. Currently, she’s
Customer Value Manager for City Link focusing on customer experience
and customer retention. Maria has been a volunteer for the Heathrow
West-London Team for over three years. In her words, “The
Chartered Institute of Marketing offers you the chance to get involved
in a big network of marketers. Also, by organising events you are
not only putting into practice what you learn through your studies,
but also exploring different topics that interest you. The networking
opportunities are really important.” |
Nirmel
Saroay, Prof. Dip
Nirmel joined The Chartered Institute of Marketing
in 2004. After having gained the Institute’s Post-Graduate
Diploma in 2005, she put her knowledge into practise with a charitable
organisation in New York. Having worked in several industries
and roles over the last ten years, she currently works for Alliance
Healthcare in the pharmaceutical wholesale sector as a Communication
Executive.
Nirmel says “Working with the Greater London
region’s West London and Heathrow team allows me to meet
a wide range of like-minded individuals, keep abreast of the latest
developments and share best practice in the ‘real’
world.” |
Sandy
Yu, Membership Ambassador, Chartered Marketer
After she graduated from University of Birmingham,
Sandy lived in Hong Kong and worked in the Asia region where she
gained knowledge in the Asian market. Sandy came to London to
set up an office in order to develop business service infrastructure.
This is Sandy’s first year volunteering for The Chartered
Institute of Marketing. As a new Chartered Marketer, she is delighted
to learn more and meet with people in this multi-culture city.

Eve
Laird
Eve joined the West London and Heathrow branch
of The Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2009. “I joined
the team because I wanted to help deliver high quality events for
members on topics that are useful and relevant to them. This helps
me and others stay up-to-date with new thinking about innovations
in the industry. These events are also a great way to meet people
from other industries and to share ideas and experiences.”
In her day job, Eve is Director of Communications
at Datapharm, a leading provider of information about medicines
for healthcare professional, medicine users and the general public.
Eve is responsible for stakeholder engagement across the business,
the branding and identity of the company and its products as well
as the commercialisation of new business initiatives.
